For those of you who already know and reap the many advantageous effects of coconut oil when added to your beauty regimen—you can read this and smile knowingly, petting your glossy hair with ultra-soft hands that have miraculously withstood the skin-chapping cold of this everlasting winter.  Oh, wait, it’s not a miracle—it’s coconut oil! (And okay, coconut oil is like its own tiny miracle, but you get our point).

To everyone who has yet to board the coconut oil train, we’re here to say, hop on, it’s going to be a luxurious ride.

We’ve just started to use coconut oil in our daily routine, and we’re over the moon about it – I mean, we get serious butterflies just talking about it. What’s not to love?  You can buy a 16 oz jar for under $6! (try Trader Joe’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil), and this all-natural product can be used as an under-eye moisturizer, lip balm, deep hair conditioning treatment, body moisturizer, and more.  We’ve even replaced our regular face moisturizer with coconut oil to great results.   Plus, a little goes a long way, so it’s amazingly cost-effective in addition to being sans unwanted and harmful chemicals and additives.

Check out the wikiHow page below for detailed instructions on how to use coconut oil as a hair conditioner, as well more information on how to successfully use coconut oil as a moisturizer on your face and body:

Shine on, you crazy diamonds.
