Radiant Orchid

You probably already know that we here at Oak73 adore our floral prints; button-downs, blazers, bags, pants, dresses, and tees—we can’t get enough flower power.  So you can imagine that when we found out that Pantone had selected Radiant Orchid as 2014’s Color of the Year, we were more than a little ecstatic.  Not only is this gorgeous confluence of ‘fuchsia, purple and pink undertones,’ inspired by one of our favorite flowers, but this vibrant shade casts an enchanting spell, and we think painting your pout in Radiant Orchid will create a magnetic look that ‘inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health.’ Still not sure if this hue is right for you?  We’re willing to bet it will be perfection—Radiant Orchid is surprisingly versatile; according to the Pantone website, blending both cool and warm undertones, ‘purple is an appealing hue for distinctive combinations and flattering to many hair, eye and skin tones.’ That’s not all, this magical color is also said to ‘enliven the skin, making all who wear it feel more healthy and energetic.’  Radiant Orchid had us at hello, but we have to admit that all these perks just make us love it that much more!

Not to mention, a bold lip in Radiant Orchid would pair brilliantly with any of our florals…
